    Full-counting statistics (FCS) is an elegant method to study various fluctuations of quantities in quantum transport with generating function (GF) encoding all the distribution information. In this talk, I will present the formalism of FCS of charge and spin transport in the framework ofKeldyshnonequilibrium Green’s function (NEGF). The application of FCS in a spin Seebeck engine which is an electron/magnon hybrid system will be discussed. Strongly fluctuating electronic DOS induced by quantum dot is essential to haveasymmetric behavior with respect to reversing the temperature gradient and rectify FCS and heat engine performances of the spin Seebeck engine.



    Dr. Gaomin Tang obtained his PhD degree in theoretical physics in 2016 from the department of physics, the University of Hong Kong. He mainly uses nonequilibrium Green’s function technique to deal with quantum transport problems. He is currently doing post-doctoral in the University of Hong Kong and his research interests are quantum transport, nonequilibrium thermodynamics, and spintronics.
